Strategy and Transformation Consultant

We currently have exciting opportunities right across the UK for Strategy & Transformation Consultants to work across some of the most high-profile and largest infrastructure programmes and projects across the UK and Europe.

**About the opportunity**

You will typically support our clients to define and deliver value-yielding improvements across their businesses through the clear definition of outcomes, organisational design, transformational change, process development, integration and collaboration, programme management and stakeholder engagement. You will also be engaged in developing businesses cases for funding and transformation activities, moving into delivery of those business case programmes / projects. The role requires the writing of engaging reports, the development of effective recommendations and efficient delivery approaches.

This role often involves supporting the design and facilitation of workshops for our clients and stakeholders to problem solve, explore solutions and achieve buy-in and support for the agreed outcome.

You will often work in small teams (frequently cross-discipline Jacobs teams that may include client colleagues) towards successful delivery of both client and Jacobs’ outcomes. You may also get involved in the development and growth of the business unit as well as personal and team development of colleagues.

**About the team**

Strategic Consulting is a global division within Jacobs’ People & Places Solutions line of business. Within the UK & Ireland, the division is made up of six agile Practice Groups, including Strategy & Transformation Solutions. The division works collaboratively across all market sectors and throughout the infrastructure lifecycle. We deliver projects at all stages from strategy, organisational set up, financing, business case, economic & planning advice and design through to construction, operation and maintenance across the UK and globally. We support our clients in the delivery of through-life value.

Specifically, our Strategy & Transformation Solutions practice works with clients to deliver great outcomes with a people-centric focus on the design of vision, strategy, operating models and organisational design, driven by sustainable, benefits-focused transformation. We also function as internal management consultants to the other Jacobs business units.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Strategic and analytical thinkers with strong problem-solving skills
- A mindset to constructively challenge the accepted norms and always seek a better way
- Exposure to defining and delivering strategies to achieve value
- Experience of delivering successful organisational change and transformation
- Experience of operating in a programme / project environment with multiple stakeholders, including operating in cross-business teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, presentation and communication skills
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Exposure to business development and growth/sales
- Previous consulting experience and experience in the infrastructure sector are desirable, but not essential
