Oscar Technology have partnered with a rapidly growing organisation who are looking to really grow their Data and Analytics Practise and develop a cutting-edge analytics practise using the most up-to-date technologies. They are looking for a junior dataengineer who is keen to learn new skills and progress their technical capabilities. They will offer a variety of internal and external training courses and you will be working alongside their Senior Data Engineer.

**The Role**

Working within their Engineering team you will be working on a variety of projects and building the feeds and pipelines into both their cloud-based data warehouse as well as their analytical models.. This position would be in support of the current seniorteam members and as such you will have a people to learn from who will mentor you. This is an awesome role for learning and career progression.

This role can be offered on a hybrid basis, with 2 days a week in the office which is based in Manchester Centre

**Duties will include**:

- **Data Engineering**:

- Convey user stories and requirements into data solutions and deliverables
- Implement, test, and document new data constructions
- Form data security and recovery techniques and tooling
- Implementation and optimisation of Enterprise Data Warehouse
- **Analytics**:

- Responsible for design and delivery on batch/real-time data analysis solutions
- **Data Opportunities & Governance**:

- Create, refine, and enforce data management policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform technology and data product research to identify strategic opportunities
- Maintains business data continuity and disaster recovery protocols

**About you**

**Skills**
- Ideally some experience in working with models or building data feeds.
- Programming - Python
- You will need a strong self development mindset and be keen to progress your skills, take on training courses and learn new things - these personality traits are crucial
- Good communication skills.
