Steelite International is currently experiencing significant growth and is recruiting experienced pottery workers as operatives and labourers to work on the factory to help with an increase in production output, including roles in:
**Flat Shop**
- Flat Sponging
- Semi Maker

**Pressure Cast (Robot)**
- Operative
- Labourer
- Sponger

**Shift pattern**

2 x 12 hour shifts over Saturday and Sunday (£14.33-£18.97 dependant on role and experience)

1 x optional 8 hour shift in the week (starting at £10.51 dependant on role and experience)

**Job Descriptions**

**Flat Sponger -**
- To fettle (when required) and sponge the edges of the items to the required quality standard
- To monitor machine sponge's conducting resistance checks to satisfy the lifetime edge chip warranty
- To hand sponge items when required
- Record loss
- Disposal of non-conforming product appropriately
- To comply with all Health and Safety Regulations and Company policies and to ensure at all times that the work area is clean, tidy and safe.

**Semi - maker**
- To make planned, dish/ semi items to the required quality standard
- To achieve individual item targets
- Liaising with toolsetter as appropriate in terms of breakdowns and non
- conforming product
- To load clay onto cutter/bench when required
- Disposal of non-conforming product
- To record all ware processed including loss
- To comply with all Health and Safety Regulations and Company policies and to ensure at all times that the work area is clean, tidy and safe.

**Pressure Cast - Sponger**
- To fettle and sponge the edges of the items to the quality standard and to achieve required quantities.
- To ensure all edges meet edge chipping resistance checks to satisfy lifetime edge chip warranty
- To hand sponge face and back of item
- Disposal of non conforming ware
- To comply with all Health and Safety Regulations and Company policies and to ensure at all times that the work area is clean, tidy and safe.

**Pressure Cast - Operative**
- To make planned items to required Company standard
- Rectify issues with the cell that may cause loss or quality issues
- Work to individual item targets
- Liaise with Team Leader as appropriate
- Disposal of non-conforming product
- Record stoppages on Gemba system
- To comply with all Health and Safety Regulations and Company policies and to ensure at all times that the work area is clean, tidy and safe.
