Network Engineering Architect

**The Role**

To deliver great service to our customers, both internal and external, through strong technical knowledge as part of the Network Engineering Architecture function within Enterprise Networks for TSB. Overall responsibility for lifecycle management of Networks& Communications across all segments of TSB**.**

Includes End-to-end architecture, engineering, deployment and maintenance. Will require close collaboration with Suppliers of IT services to TSB and internal Stakeholders.

Reporting into the Head of Networks and Communications, as the Network Engineering Architect you will come from an environment where you have technically led and supported the technologies and complimentary network technologies, for an organisation withmultiple locations and more than 5000 employees.
You will have proven design and problem solving skills and have contributed to delivering significant operational improvements where the design meets the business strategy.

- WAN / LAN
- Core Data Centre
- Carrier Neutral DC’s
- Security Infrastructure
- WiFi
- Cloud SAAS services
- AWS/Azure
- Authentication Services and Tooling
- Application awareness

**What is Needed?**
- To be a strong Network Engineering Architect in Enterprise Networks & Communications
- To keep abreast of technical developments, including vendor product strategies and industry advancements and to participate in developing or setting standards as required
- Contribute to architecture solutions and strategy relating to specialised area’s of responsibility across CIO
- To provide consultancy and technical design expertise across TSB Enterprise Networks & Communications
- To establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
- To assist with improving the standards of technical delivery and competencies within CIO and across the business
- To ensure that the technical authority role is performed including approving technical proposals, and reviewing progress to ensure they meet business needs
- Ensure projects meet business & technical requirements across TSB
- To ensure that the infrastructure is architected in a manner that supports appropriate levels of resilience and performance
- To work with technical teams in BS, product owners and 3rd party suppliers to ensure that technical solutions are aligned with the technical strategy
- To contribute, refine and execution aligned to the road map for Enterprise Networks & Communications
- Ensures TSB remain current, deliver value to the business and support the needs of stakeholders in terms of scalability, resilience, security, capacity and operational maintenance
- Identify areas of development that require engineering activity and establish an appropriate programme of work and execute it
