**Job Title**: Home Carer (Domiciliary Care Worker)

**Job Purpose**:
To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and supporting them to live as independently as possible.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility, including transferring, positioning, and use of mobility aids.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Prompt or administer medication (in accordance with training and company policy).
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Assist with light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Monitor and report any changes in a client’s condition or needs.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the manager.
- Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control procedures.

**Requirements**:
**Essential**:

- Genuine passion for caring for others
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience in a care role (paid or unpaid)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (if travel between homes is required)
- Knowledge of safeguarding and person-centred care

**Working Conditions**:

- Work is based in clients’ homes; travel between visits may be required.
- Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- PPE and training provided.
