An exciting opportunity has arisen in Carlisle to join our Retail Sales Department. Providing product knowledge and exceptional customer service with a focus on acquiring new customers and maintaining existing relationships to maximise sales.

**THE JOB**

To develop, grow and maximise profitable sales of Retail products to customers and prospects within an agreed Sales Policy and sales territory.
- To achieve agreed sales targets through having a proactive approach to sales, making efforts to acquire new customers, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and upselling our products and services.
- To have detailed product knowledge, explaining the features and benefits to maximise sales.
- To engage with customers building a rapport with them and understanding their needs to maximise sales.
- To manage a Sales Pipeline identifying potential new customers to drive sales performance.
- To have product presentation skills to demonstrate our products and services and answer any questions that potential customers may have to maximise sales.
- To have negotiation skills and be able to understand the customer's budget to offer competitive pricing options that meet the customer's requirements and maximise margin contribution.
- To manage all customer debt, to ensure it is kept within company credit policies.
- Adhere to Company and Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.
- To ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice, are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes.

**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES REQUIRED**

Essential:

- Advanced selling skills, with the ability to turn enquiries into sales.
- Experience of driving growth in sales.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
- Experience of managing a sales ledger through the use of a CRM system.

Desirable:

- Previous Agricultural experience.
- Amtra SQP qualification.
- Competent IT skills and experience of the Microsoft office suite.
