The role of Control Room Supervisor is to closely monitor the Control Room activities and contract performance throughout the course of the day, ensuring that there is an effective service across the BGSW contract. Monitoring resources and demand and identifying, managing and escalating where appropriate, any expected challenges or risks ahead of issues arising. A key responsibility for the Control Room Supervisor will be to line manage the Controllers and support them in the successful completion of their role.
Core Responsibilities
Deliver excellent customer service by ensuring the prompt departure of Ambulance Care Assistants from base. Ensure contract journey planning is completed in a timely manner, is cost effective and utilises vehicle resources appropriately and effectively.
Provide the Contract Manager with timely feedback on late journeys and driving behaviour
Liaise with Ambulance Care Assistants, Management and external stakeholders regarding real time journey amendments to ensure KPI adherence and improved patient experience.
Conduct probationary reviews with Controllers in line with Company policy.
Ensure that sickness absence is kept up to date and identify potential avenues for cover in the event of high levels of sickness. Ensure that return to works are completed in a timely manner upon an employees’ return.
Participate in recruitment and selection processes
Produce rotas for the Control team, ensuring staffing levels are adequate at all times.
Ensure provision of training for new Controllers on role relevant procedures and practices
Any other duties required, or commensurate with the role.
Person Specification
Strong organisational analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to engage at all levels within organisation
Excellent organisational skills with proven ability to multi-task and prioritise as required
Meticulous attention to detail
Strong geographic knowledge of the county

**Salary**: £24,423.36 per year
