**Quality Assurance Specialist**
Vitaflo (International) Ltd are currently looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Quality Assurance Specialist. Quality Specialists support the factory and our co-manufacturers in specific areas of expertise (e.g. food safety, HACCP, auditing, traceability,hygiene, pest control, chemical contaminants, microbiology food safety, sensory, thermal processing, statistical process control, net content management etc.)
**What will you do?**
As the Quality Assurance Specialist, your responsibilities will consist of the following:
- Contribute to developing the competency of quality professionals
- Promote quality awareness and commitment to quality across the unit
- Set operational objectives in collaboration with the Quality Manager
- Define and update specific quality procedures, instructions and tools in the area of technical expertise
- Contribute to, define and follow-up on quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- HACCP team leader for Vitaflo’s on-site production facility
- Support Nestlé Continuous Excellence program in the quest for zero defect
- Support activities to achieve compliance with the Nestlé Quality Management System
- Continuously increasing first-time right quality related to co-manufacturers
- Lead the Halal & Kosher compliance project
- Participate/lead the audits of Vitaflo co-manufacturers
- Support unit readiness for internal and external audits
- Perform and coordinate GMP audits
- Performs trouble shooting and corrective action follow-up of non-conformities
**What skills and experience should you have?**
To be successful in the role, we would like the successful applicant to possess the following:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Food and Nutrition, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology or other related degree discipline
- Internal auditor qualified, lead auditor would be desirable
- HACCP and Food Safety Level 3
- Experience in successfully implementing quality assurance programmes
- Experience of complaint reduction projects, non-conformance management and root cause analysis
- Broad understanding of different manufacturing technologies e.g. dry powder blending, can / sachet filling, aseptic liquid, infant requirements, zoning.
- Can motivate, support and develop team members to achieve goals
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills
- A keen eye for detail with the ability to spot areas for improvement
- Ability to establish working relationships successfully with departments, markets and factories
- Results driven
- Proficient in IT (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Databases)
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
