Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Bias

Newton-Le-Willows

£40,000 + Pension, Life Assurance, Holidays

Monday to Friday Days, 7-4
Working on the day shift team, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with mechanical bias to join a leading manufacturer.

This position offers excellent technical challenge in a varied role. Further opportunities for internal & external training, plus the opportunity to work within a close-knit engineering team. Role Description
- Electrical and Mechanical PPM, Reactive & Breakdown maintenance
- Reporting into the Engineering Manager, working with a close knit engineering team
- Maintenance on plastic packaging machinery, automated lines, conveyors, blow moulding machinery
- To contribute to kaizen projects working cross functionally
- Machine installations, machine improvement projects
- Lots of internal & external training and development opportunities
- Adhering to Health & Safety across site
Skills and Qualifications
- Time-Served, Apprenticeship trained with Level 3/HNC qualifications
- Strong Background within Packaging, FMCG, Food or Plastic manufacturing
- Fault finding ability both Electrically & Mechanically
- Motivated to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, PLC's, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Knowledge of Kaizen, Six Sigma and 5S, Continuous Improvement Methods
- Proven experience and drive to work in a fast-paced environment
