- As an expanding company we are looking for a forward-thinking and creative professional to help support our Design team.- This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual with a strong design portfolio and KeyShot, SolidWorks and Adobe Creative Suite to work in-house for an established brand, as we continue to grow.- Supporting the Design Manager, you will be a vital member of the design team. You will create and develop cutting-edge products that are stylish, offer well-thought-out practicality, and consistently live up to our exceptional standards of quality.- You will recognise the needs of our customers and the market to make sure we consistently satisfy them and stay ahead of our competitors and develop the company to fulfill all KPls in terms of finance and strategy.- Assisting the merchandising department in delivering NPD on schedule, you will be making the most of all sales and profit-generating opportunities.- If this sounds like you, then we'd love you to apply- Please note that applicants should already possess the appropriate Right to Work in the UK as The Cotswold Company does not offer sponsorships. **Key duties and responsibilities include**:

- Engaging in the design process from the creation of the concept to the finished product.
- Using your imagination and technical know-how to visualize concepts using sketching, CAD modeling, 3D renderings, and other media.
- Working closely with the Design Team and Buying Director to ensure seamless coordination across product offerings, providing a unified experience for our customers.
- Working together with our regional offices to form creative furniture designs that satisfy and fulfill the company’s key strategies. Your keen eye for detail will help you to maintain key aspects of the desired design and quality.
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of our manufacturing network, ensuring technical, quality, and cost considerations are always considered.
- Develop commercially viable solutions that align with individual product briefs and overall design strategies, all while adhering to company deadlines.
- Creating engaging, and clear presentations that help to convey design concepts to the Design Manager, key stake holders and development teams.
- Continuously researching and acquiring knowledge about the furniture market, trends, new materials/finishes, and manufacturing procedures.
- Determine and investigating possible new product categories to promote category expansion and growth. Share your insights on furniture trends to shape our department's strategy.

**Essential qualities and behaviours we’re looking for**
- Must be strong and capable in using SolidWorks and KeyShot.
- Must possess an understanding of Photoshop and InDesign.
- Has a great knack for coming up with unique, inventive, balanced, and commercially driven designs that combine creativity with manufacturing.
- Has a talent for explaining these ideas in a realistic and visually appealing way.
- Effective communicator.
- Capable of meeting deadlines and efficiently managing time.
- Proficiency in handling various materials, especially wood.
- Capability to devise and implement effective workflows and frameworks that facilitate seamless teamwork and communication
- Outstanding multi-tasking skills.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Uses initiative and problem-solving skills to drive efficiencies and solutions.
- Thrives from working within a fast paced and changing
- Strong interpersonal skills - able to work well with cross-functional teams and
- Loves to work as part of a team and has a hands-on

**Qualifications, skills and experience**

**Essential
- Strong design portfolio
- Experience of working with SolidWorks and KeyShot
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent time management
- Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and working well in a team

**Whilst not essential, it would be useful to have**:

- Experience of sourcing products from a range of suppliers
- A passion for product and a demonstrable interest in Home Interiors
- Strong knowledge of the UK furniture market
