**Lead Quality Engineer - Governance & Assurance**

A leading Maritime Defence company are looking to grow their team and have an excellent opportunities for a Quality Engineers to bolster their Governance and Performance function. This opportunity involves working with cutting edge technology, in a progressiveteam with extensive training and develop opportunities.

**Role Description**
- Working as a full contributory member of the quality team and support the development of the others within specialist area
- Undertaking specialist non-routine and or complex Quality Assurance activities and tasks in their related area
- Being able to access, have clear understanding of and develop the local management system documentation
- Ensuring cross functional processes are deployed and adhered to
- Leading/supporting internal audits and supplier audits
- Leading the management of non-conformance resolution and corrective actions with key stakeholders and process owners
- Leading support Quality investigations
- Leading affective analysis of data with resulting themes and corrective actions resulting in cross functional continuous improvements
- Leading support the facilitation of working groups ensuring deliverables are achieved and learning from experience is captured and applied
- You'll also have people manager responsibilities in this role

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Ability to interpret specification, procedures and contract requirements and cascade to others
- Experience as a lead facilitator of root cause analysis, methodologies: Fishbone, 5Why, Six Sigma
- Experience carrying out effective action management and verification, in support of audit and assurance activities
- Experience across backgrounds such as Rail, Automotive, Nuclear, Defence, Aerospace are all highly desirable
