Machine Mover

RRS Group specialise in machine moving/installations, factory relocation and contract lifting. We require experienced machine movers to support our continued growth. Experience of Versa Lifts, Mega Lift Gantry Systems, and 7-ton+ forklift experience is very desirable but not essential.

Your main responsibility will be
- Assemble lifting gear in accordance with lift plans.
- Machine moving using various equipment including jacks and skate, forklifts of various sizes and Hydra-Slide skidding system
- Attach loads to crane hooks by use of lifting equipment including spreader beams, lifting beams, chain hoists, ensuring load balance, security, and integrity.
- Bank the crane by use of recognised signals to safely direct the load to different types of locations.
- Manual handling activities.
- To work as part of the Jacking/Skating team.

The work will be varied, and travel will be a part of the role both internally and internationally. A willingness to work away from home is essential.
- Excellent attitude towards health and safety.
- Ability to work well as a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proactive with the ability to show initiative.
- Valid CPCS card with the relevant categories i.e. Slinger Signaller. Those with no relevant cards or experience may be considered with an excellent proven attitude.
- Forklift, MEWP and Safety Passport tickets are desirable.
- Valid UK driving license.
