We are looking for a Wedding and Events Executive to join our team at St Ermin's Hotel, a privately owned, 4 red star, luxury hotel, part of the Marriott Autograph collection.

**Job Purpose and Key Accountabilities**

Under the general guidance and supervision of the Head of Events and within the limits of established hotel policies and procedures, the position is responsible for maintaining and maximising sales revenue within the weddings, banquets, meetings, conference, and events department. You will ensure all details on weddings, banquets, meetings, events & conference enquiries are recorded accurately and planned until the day of the wedding/event takes place, assist in achieving budgets and targets set for this area and the overall budget of the hotel, through effective use of yield policy and overall promotion of the product and services of the hotel.

**Key Areas of Responsibility**
- Maximise sales opportunities to achieve budget and revenue targets through offering appropriate rates and inventory
- Be the person in charge of all wedding enquiries and the contact for the bride & groom throughout the booking and planning process.
- Ensure that all enquiries are responded within the requested deadline, making sure the clients receive the correct information requested in a clear and well-presented manner.
- Provide quotes according to hotel guidelines, ensuring all of the information is correctly input into the system immediately.
- Ensure all enquiries are chased within the time frame agreed between the client and the hotel and details are accurately recorded into Opera S&C.
- Ensure sales enquiries are accurately handled and followed through using the appropriate processes and technology. Deadlines must be met, and correct documentation provided.
- Ensure all contracts, deposits and event details are handled efficiently and within the deadlines given.
- Arrange and conduct site inspections and educational trips for clients to promote the hotel facilities and services.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients to achieve consistent and efficient service to customers and return business.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and awareness of in-house business and clients.
- Ensure effective communication within the Conference & Events Department and throughout the hotel, particularly with Food & Beverage, Front Office, and Sales.
- Assist in completing weekly and monthly reports within deadlines
- Meet with clients to run through details of forthcoming wedding, conferences & events, future requirements and to present the hotel facilities and services.
- Create banquet event orders detailing all the client’s final details and requests before the event.
- Meet & greet clients when they arrive for their event and in case of weddings, you will be the point of contact on the Wedding Day.
- Accurately post charges for in-house events and send VAT invoices after the event has finished.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on their feet when unexpected events occur
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills both written, verbally and in person
- Service focused with a commitment to delivering the highest standards
- A high level of IT skills including outlook, word & excel
- The ability to constructively challenge company procedures and recommend amendments which will have a benefit to the company.
