An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experience **Head Housekeeper** to join the 4-star deluxe Park Plaza Hotel Cardiff.

The Park Plaza Hotel Cardiff is a 4-star deluxe hotel located in the Cardiff city centre, offering 129 guestrooms, a busy restaurant and bar, 8 meeting and event suites and a luxurious health club and spa.

We want to ensure that all our guests say “Wow”. That first impression is one of the most important parts of their experience with us and as **Head Housekeeper** you will be responsible to ensure that all our guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to a standard that is second to none.

You:

- Will perform Head of Department duties for Housekeeping, ensuring we meet guests’ expectations and our own high standards for cleanliness
- Will be hands-on and visible leader to the team, motivating them with your passion for hospitality and desire to do things better
- Can build a guest-focused culture within Housekeeping where every member of the team should feel they can contribute to guest satisfaction
- Can work closely with leaders in other departments to keep operations running smoothly in line with our commercial goals
- Will play a direct role in the overall management of the Hotel
- Can share our values: Trust, Respect, Teamwork, Enthusiasm, Commitment & Care.
**Duties**:

- Taking full responsibility for the housekeeping department in line with agreed standards of performance
- Managing a team of 25 to ensure that that there is sufficient cover to meet occupancy levels and payroll costs
- Responding to all guest requests quickly and efficiently, taking personal responsibility to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Recruitment, training and ongoing development of the team by coaching and supporting all housekeeping team to provide consistently high standards, while continually looking to improve.
- Delivering all standards in line with internal and external audits to ensure continual improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation.
- To manage all costs, including labour, laundry and consumables.
- Carrying out accurate and timely weekly and monthly stocktakes and order supplies as required
- Hotel Duty Management

You will need a minimum 2 years’ 4-star quality hotel housekeeping experience ideally in a similar role; and previous hotel PMS knowledge (ideally Opera) would be an advantage.

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
