**The team**

Education, Schools and Inclusion covers a wide range of areas including, but not limited to, school admissions, adult learning, governor support, school improvement, fair access arrangement and special educational needs and disabilities.

To support with our agenda of early identification of need, we will be opening two Early Years Assessment Provisions in the near future. The Early Years Assessment Provisions will be based in two separate locations in Gateshead, places will be agreed through a panel and will offer outreach and/or time measured dual registered placements for children aged 3-5 years old presenting at Threshold 3.

**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity within our new Early Years Assessment Provisions for two Teaching Assistants. It will be the TAs role to work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. It will also be the TAs role to support the children to ensure their needs are met whilst on a dual placement and enable them to reintegrate into their host setting.
