**Summary**

As a Production Operator you will play an essential role in the production of a drive. You will be responsible for placing components on PCBs, soldering, testing, assembling final products, and packaging them. You will work closely with the production team to ensure order quantities are met - while maintaining a very high level of quality.

**Essential duties and responsibilities**
- Various mechanical assembly operations of assemblies and sub-assemblies
- Building printed circuit boards (PCBs) to meet or exceed established quality standards and according to the documentation or instructions provided
- Operating automated Wave Solder Machine and component cropping equipment, setup line, training and helping operators on machine and assembly
- Testing, assembling final products and packaging them
- Following safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation
- Operating and monitoring PCB equipment against daily demand
- Reporting shortages to Material Controller
- Reporting to Team Leader on a regular basis, highlighting issues affecting daily plan
- Visually inspecting PCB assemblies for build quality, ensuring any quality concerns are raised to the Team Leader immediately
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives including 3Q6S and productivity projects
- Promoting quality throughout the production process and helping to build quality products through DPMO and yield initiatives
- Always maintaining process disciplines
- Maintaining flexibility and gaining multi-skilled status in all activities and being willing to help in other areas when required
- Very good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to react to changes quickly and proactively while maintaining a positive attitude
- Flexibility and enthusiasm to learn new skills
- Self-motivation and a ‘can do’ attitude
