The Kitchen Porter plays a key role in ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently by maintaining cleanliness, washing dishes, and assisting with basic food preparation tasks. This role is essential for upholding the high standards of hygiene and safety required in a busy kitchen environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Dishwashing and Cleaning**:

- Wash and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, pots, pans, and dishes.
- Ensure all cutlery, glassware, and crockery are cleaned to a high standard.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with hygiene regulations.
- **Kitchen Maintenance**:

- Assist with the daily deep cleaning of kitchen areas.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers.
- Ensure the proper storage of kitchen tools and equipment.
- **Food Preparation Assistance**:

- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Ensure ingredients are stored correctly and kept fresh.
- **Stock Management**:

- Unload and store deliveries, ensuring items are stored in the correct locations.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the kitchen management.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate protective clothing and footwear.
- Follow food hygiene standards to prevent contamination and ensure a clean working environment.
- Participate in regular health and safety training sessions.
- **Team Support**:

- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Assist in any other kitchen duties as required by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £9.17-£13.51 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
