**The Role**

**Key Tasks**:

- Providing radiosynthesis and drug substance technical expertise to support the costing and generation of Client quotations
- Attending teleconferences and face-to-face client meetings, as required
- Attending Internal Strategy and Pricing Calls to provide technical input, ensure that the proposals have the support of the SMEs/management and are aligned with Business capabilities
- Complete assessment of RFPs to support their RAG assessment with respect to chemical and toxicological hazards
- Creating indicative project timelines, mapping out interdependencies and aligning with resource availability
- As required, updating the costing content of prepared proposals based on client feedback
- Keep up to date with current radiosynthesis and relevant organic synthesis literature
- If required, work with marketing to create/update external communication materials and content and support external events to drive marketplace awareness and customer adoption of Quotient services.
- If required, present at workshops, seminars and conferences locally, regionally and globally.
- Act as a ‘Technical Specialist’ and a key scientific member of Quotient’s broad commercialization team to guide and influence our customer’s thinking and strategy on how they progress their radiosynthesis/drug substance programs with Quotient Sciences.
- Coordinate with the Commercial team and Subject Matter Experts to provide radiosynthesis and drug substance technical expertise to support the generation of a range of proposals for review, approval and delivery to Quotient’s clients.
- Working with the DDC and the Client, support early client discussions for lead generation and validation to ensure an accurate and high-quality program design.
- Responsible for route scouting, leading design/build of differentiated, customized, integrated programs of work leveraging our radiosynthesis and drug substance programs. Where appropriate working with other scientific, technical, and operational experts across the business units to support the program design based on customer need.
- Where applicable support the progression of awarded projects, providing additional technical expertise and support for proactive problem solving.

**Skills and experience required**:

- A minimum of a PhD in Chemistry and over 2 years’ experience of working in a Radiosynthesis or Drug substance R&D environment is essential.
- Previous experience of completing radiosynthesis or drug substance costing would be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work with attention to detail
- A flexible approach to new work challenges and the ability to work to demanding timelines
- Previous experience in a Client facing role or proposal preparation would be advantageous but not essential.
