My client is a highly successful, large corporate organisation, operating nationally. They are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join the team of 10 finance staff on a permanent basis at their Head Office based on the outskirtsof Exeter.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the preparation of the management accounts of specific projects, including:

- Liaising closely with Senior Management and project stakeholders to produce project specific profit and loss accounts, and measuring against financial targets.
- Responsible for monthly close down processes, and accounting adjustments, to ensure that project accounts accurately reflect current operational status.
- Scheduling and post of project specific invoices, maintaining revenue forecasts and communicating across non finance teams.
- Monthly meetings with project teams to review results.
- Maintain project close down processes, and verifying project final cost position.
- Maintaining key Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting the Financial Controller and Senior staff with additional ad-hoc requests as and when required.

In order to be successfully considered, you must be/have:

- The ability to effective communicate with non-financial members of staff, the commercial acumen to relate operational issues and financial representation.
- Strong technical accounting background, ideally either full or part-qualified in either CIMA or ACCA with a proven track record of high accuracy and experience of working in a similar position.
- Good organisation skills to manage workloads to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Ideally have some cost accounting and management accounting experience.
- Have excellent IT and Excel skills.
- Positive customer focused attitude and awareness.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced management accountant who is seeking to break out of the confines of the finance department, and wants to use their accounting knowledge to contribute to the commercial and operational aspects of the business.
