**About the role**: This is an exciting opportunity for a Sampling and Sample Preparation Technician to join an enthusiastic team, delivering testing and analytical services to a wide range of clients across the UK with the UK’s number one testing, inspection and compliancecompany.

Client focused and quality driven, we are a leading provider of sampling, sample preparation and testing services to the Energy and Fuel Supply industries. Now we need a Sampling and Sample Preparation Technician to join our multi-disciplinary team providingthese services from our facility near Selby, North Yorkshire.

**You will**:

- Undertake sample preparation and testing of solid fuel samples, in line with specific UKAS accredited methods and procedures.
- Undertake physical testing of wood pellets for particle size, bulk density and mechanical durability.
- Follow ISO compliant sampling, sample preparation and testing methods of solid fuels.
- Work safely in accordance with SOCOTEC task risk assessments and method statements.

**About you**: No experience necessary

Communicative, organised, flexible and committed, you must also have:

- An ability for accurate and clear recording of results with good attention to detail.
- Experience of working in an industrial site environment.
- Experience of following test method procedures.
- An organised and methodical approach to tasks.
- Hard working with the ability to work on your own and in a team.
