Senior International Recruitment Officer

**Purpose of Job**
To coordinate the international student recruitment initiative in all areas of marketing, events, internal and external relationship management and partnership activities overseas.
You will act as a source of information, knowledge and advice, providing high quality up to date market intelligence, and identify business opportunities to support international student recruitment.
**Key Tasks / Responsibilities**
Help the University recruit high quality international students consistent with our strategic growth agenda. Specifically this will mean:
- Overseeing the team to deliver ambitious and challenging recruitment targets, in agreed geographical territories
- Visiting stakeholders in our overseas territories, with a view to raising the profile of the University and developing strategic alliances
- Positively managing the reputation of the University in key international markets.
- Building personal contacts with students and other stakeholders.
- Contributing to the formulation of marketing strategies and subsequent implementation of operational plans within budget.
- Providing management information, markets intelligence and other reports as appropriate for colleagues within the University.
- Having a customer and student centred approach to all elements of the role.
- Contribute to the overall implementation of the University’s strategy within an international context.
**Work Performed (relating to key tasks)**
1. Line manage the International Recruitment Officer and Graduate Advocate and work closely with others who support international recruitment.
2. Work with colleagues in the Global Student & Partnership Centre to support the development of international partnerships, articulation agreements and study abroad programmes.
4. Conduct research and identify opportunities for the University within various geographical areas, particularly in South East Asia.
5. Plan and implement a series of focused promotional activities. These will include, amongst others
a. Attendance at education fairs and exhibitions
b. Presentations to Schools, Colleges and Universities
c. Information sessions for students and their parents.
6. Support our agent network, to ensure that Hope offers sector-leading service levels and support.
8. Support other international activities, including alumni development, academic partnerships and corporate events.
9. Work with the Associate Dean (International) to ensure that the international recruitment budget is used effectively.
10. Undertake other relevant projects, to be decided upon from time to time and any other duties assigned by the Associate Dean (International).

University admissions database, for example SITS - working knowledge needed
Exhibition equipment - portable banner stands
**Qualifications / Experience Required**
**Degree or equivalent qualification.**
**Proven successful experience in international student recruitment including experience of planning, developing and delivering student recruitment strategies in different territories.**
**Experience of recruitment in Asia or the Middle East.**
**Experience of analysing data and information to support strategic planning and evaluate activity.**
**Ability to lead, support and motivate a small team, delegating and supervising effectively.**
**Ability to demonstrate creative and innovative approaches to international student recruitment**
**Experience of analysing complex issues and data, drafting reports and policy documents.**
**Experience of managing projects in an organisation.**
**Experience in monitoring objectives, analysing activities and outcomes, identifying gaps and acting on this.**
**Ability to anticipate changing needs in relation to student recruitment.**
**Experience of budget planning.**
