Are you a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting students with their Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? **One of our partner schools in the Balsall Common area seeks a committed, knowledgeable Teaching Assistant who is passionate about providing outstanding SEMH support.** This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people who struggle with their emotional and mental health.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide support and assistance to individuals with special educational needs, especially those who struggle with SEMH, in order to promote academic and social development.
- Use your skillset to communicate with learners and support them in their studies to foster engagement in the classroom, utilising well-rehearsed engagement strategies.
- Assist in the implementation of IEPs and EHCPs.
- Collaborate with specialist teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the children.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience of working with children or young adults in a mental health/wellbeing focused setting.
- Knowledge of Special Education is advantageous. Relevant training and qualifications are desirable.
- Training or study in relevant fields would be advantageous.
- Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with children.

**Salary**: £85.00-£95.00 per day
