**The Organisation**

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.

We are now looking for a Senior Surveyor to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

**The Role**

As a Senior Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the conservation, maintenance and enhancement of various historic and operational structures across the Royal Parks.

Overseeing assets such as buildings, monuments, lakes, bridges and public facilities, you will ensure these are preserved and maintained in accordance with best practices, while balancing budgetary constraints and regulatory requirements.

You will also manage cyclical condition surveys, oversee the Forward Maintenance Register and develop conservation and maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing budgets, reporting on Key Performance Targets (KPTs) and supervising a multi-disciplinary team of surveyors and engineers to deliver on the maintenance priorities.

Additionally, you will:

- Provide expert advice on building conservation and health and safety
- Support the maintenance of asset registers and essential records
- Oversee minor works projects and liaise with relevant teams
- Provide design reviews for maintainability and constructability
- Assist in preparing conservation reports and schedules for buildings occupied by third parties

**About You**

To be considered as a Senior Surveyor, you will need:

- Proven experience in building surveying
- Knowledge and experience of Building Regulations
- Experience of planning and listed building practise, the roles of Historic England and local planning authorities
- Knowledge of Building Pathology
- A professional RICS qualification
