A vacancy has arisen for the position as a Pharmacy Support Worker within the Pharmacy Department at Scunthorpe General Hospital.

The job involves working within various areas of the department to ensure medicines are available as ward stock or for individual patients, they also support the ward-based teams who work on the front line in a patient-facing role.

The duties will involve all aspects of pharmacy stores including the receipt of goods, filling ward stock orders, working in the dispensary and on the wards carrying out a ward top up and pack away service. This will include some manual handling of bulk stock.

Computer literacy would be an advantage.

Essential
- NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services qualification or equivalent within Pharmacy
- Sound educational background
- GCSE level C or above (or equivalent) or proven numeracy/literacy skills to an acceptable level
- Previous pharmacy experience in hospital or retail pharmacy.

Desirable
- Computer literate.
