We are recruiting for a** Yard Shunter** to work in our chilled warehouse at our **Market Drayton **depot on a permanent contract.

**Job Description**:
**Shifts**:
4 on 4 off

Days - 06:00 - 18:00

Afternoon - 13:00 - 01:00 (£10 per shift bonus)

**Salary**: £35,043.26 per annum
- Effectively managing own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
- Conducting daily checks, immediately reporting any defects and / or damage and completing associated documentation
- Carrying out trailer checks on loaded trailers and report to ops staff
- Completing trailer checklist and reporting to operations desk
- Carrying out shunting duties including relevant maintenance and safety checks
- Liaising with the warehouse control and goods in staff to ensure smooth and efficient loading / unloading of trailers
- Completing vehicles downloads as per the company policy
- Monitoring services / MOTs - liaising with transport office and with service vendors
- Assisting with fuel delivery / manual dip of fuel
- Keeping yard in clean / tidy condition

**Qualifications**:

- Possession of LGV Class 1 Licence
- Current CPC
