**WE WANT: Barista**

**We are recruiting for a part-time barista to work alongside our team at our community café nestled in the beautiful Calverley Grounds.**

**About The Inside**

The Inside is a community concept space that is home to a fabulous adventure playground.

Open 5 days a week from 10-4pm at weekends and 10-2 during the week, The Inside offers a simple yet delicious food menu, exceptional coffee and a welcoming and super-efficient service.

Expect a flow of children and parents, birthday parties, creative workshops and more from this ever evolving space.

**The Role**

We are on the hunt for a fabulous Barista. This individual will be friendly, approachable, self-motivating and positive. They will have a very exact eye for detail and understand that within this space experience is everything.

They will head up the all-important coffee offering, with guidance and training from local roastery - Tunbridge Wells Roastery. They will have an in-depth knowledge of manual brewing methods with the ability to teach these techniques to other staff members.

They will be expected to work within a small team and play an important role in creating a very special destination in our town and work the kitchen during quieter hours.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Create specialist espresso-based coffees - latte art is your stamp of experience and skill;
- Deliver exceptional customer service and help create a unique destination in Tunbridge Wells;
- Work in the kitchen producing our infamous toasties, picnic’s in the park and ever developing nurturing food menu;
- Work behind the counter, maintaining high hygiene standards and keeping the area presentable at all times;
- Help maintain stock levels;
- Work and support our small team where necessary;
- Provide coffee training to staff during contracted hours.

**The Individual**
- Pervious and strong Barista experience (minimum of 1 year - preference for 2- working within a quality coffee house), with a passion for the job and previous roles of working within a specialist coffee house;
- Experience of dialling in coffee and a clear understanding of milk texturizing, coffee ratios and extraction and the difference this makes to a standard cup of caffeine and a speciality one;
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking and maintaining quality with every cup served;
- A customer-oriented positive attitude with an absolute dedication to customer experience and service with an infectious energy;
- Plate-spinning multi-tasker, highly organised with a cool head and the ability to work within a pressurised environment;
- Be a team player with a bubbly personality;
- The ability to accommodate flexible working shifts
- The availability to work weekends
- Eligible to work in the UK and fluent in English

**Job Type**: 14 hours per week

**Main working hours**: Weekends 9.30-4.30

**Location**: Calverley Grounds, Tunbridge Wells, Kent

**Salary**: £9-11 dependent upon experience

**Start Date**: ASAP
