A local authority is looking for an Interim Senior Accountant to support their Adult Social care department on an interim basis for 3 months, paying £450 per day inside IR35. This role is London based, with hybrid working available.

Key role responsibilities:

- Providing financial modelling and analysis of service options for projects and initiatives.
- Forecasting both in-year and future year income and expenditure
- Supporting the management, development and updating of the medium term financial strategy (MTFS) and annual budget
- Full responsibility for the financial accounting arrangements ensuring all technical accountancy requirements are met
- Managing a team of 8
- Managing the production of financial returns and reports required for both statutory and non-statutory purposes.
- Qualified accountant - ACA / ACCA /CIMA
- Significant FP&A experience
- Stakeholder management and engagement
- Strong financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge
- Significant financial modelling experience
- Experience managing a team
- Local Government experience within Adult Social Care essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Hands on approach
- Advanced Excel
