We have one Constable opportunity to join The Fixed Intelligence Management Unit who receive, process, and analysis all of our incoming intelligence. With support from the UK Intelligence Community, our Intelligence Officers decide what to do, then direct operational activity to enhance our understanding or mitigate the threats.

We are seeking to appoint officers who are professionally curious, motivated problem-solvers, and those interested in protecting our national security. Many of the skills needed are found and nurtured in other areas of policing, for the rest we give extensive training.

The Fixed Intelligence Management Unit is also an excellent entry point to a career in CT Policing, with regular operational engagement with every other department in the region.

Our team provides 24/7 coverage for the region through an on-call rota.

During times of critical threat our officers may travel to other regions of the UK to support a national response.

**Required knowledge/skills**
Essential
- Proven operational / intelligence experience involving complex crime investigations.
- Proven ability to gather information / intelligence to inform decision making.
- Previous experience in assessing and managing threat, risk and harm.
- Proven ability to problem solve in conjunction with partners.

**Subsidiary tasks**
- Attend meetings and give presentations as required to represent the department.
- Interrogate all relevant available intelligence sources.
- Able to perform on call arrangements for immediate Police Officer response as required.
- Able to travel/work across SE region and outside the region if required.
