**Job Role**: Football Coach **Department**: Coaching **Reports to**: Director of Football - The development of young talent and giving young players a chance has long been at the centre of our philosophy, so our youth and development teams are a vital part of our club and exists to develop confident players for the future._ - We are looking for a Football Coach able to organise and deliver sessions for our teams up to and including our U23s._ - You will be at the forefront of our talent development, as you will play a key role in uncovering the first team players of the future._ **Who we are?** We are a semi professional club located in North Horsham, with teams across men’s, women’s, boys’, and girls’ football. Beyond that, we are passionate about our local community, and, behind the scenes, we have a wide variety of opportunities and career paths for all. **Your day-to-day** - Work as a key member of our coaching team to organise and deliver weekly training sessions. - Assist the head coach/team manager with the pre-match warm up and post-match warm down. - Report on and monitor players on our database, whilst ensuring a good knowledge of players at other clubs. - Identify any issues observed in players within the squad and report to the team manager or head coach. Report any serious concerns to the club’s welfare officer. - Build and maintain great relationships and contact between players, parents, and guardians. - Develop a network of contacts in youth football in our local area. - Ensure the highest standards are always maintained and work within the rules of youth football development. **Hours of Work** Individuals are required to work at such times that local grassroots football will take place which will include evenings and weekends. **What are we looking for?** - Minimum FA “Introduction to Coaching Football”, preferred UEFA C Certificate - An up-to-date “Safeguarding Children Certificate” - In date FA “Introduction to First Aid in Football” Certificate - The successful applicant will be required to complete a self-declaration and an enhanced DBS check. It is a requirement of the role that this applicant needs an acceptable criminal record check. - Experience and understanding of grassroots football - Valid driving license - Excellent communication and relationship building skills with people of all ages. The ability to understand and empathise with young players is vital, while also having the ability to build relationships with coaches and the parents of players. - Sensitive to the needs of young players, parents/guardians, and grassroots clubs **Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract, Fixed term contract **Salary**: From £10.20 per hour **Benefits**: - Wellness programme Schedule: - Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate: - Horsham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Licence/Certification: - "Introduction to Coaching Football" (preferred) - "Safeguarding Children Certificate" (preferred) - "Introduction to First Aid in Football" (preferred) Work Location: One location
