Plant Mechanic/driver

**Summary**
We are seeking someone with a Mechanical background & Driving ability to join our team at Phils Tool Hire. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse range of plant and machinery. You will also be required to load up and deliver any machines or equipment to our customers within the area.
**Responsibilities**
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on various tools and plant machinery ensuring it is fit for use.
- Diagnose mechanical issues before any problems arise.
- Fabricate or replace parts as needed to ensure equipment functionality.
- Experience with diesel / petrol engines, hydraulic machinery and electrics.
- Utilize power tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service
- Load up machines onto trailers safely
- Deliver goods on time to a high standard
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role within the tool hire industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to problems solve and repair equipment efficiently.
- Competent in driving & operating plant machinery
- Drive vehicles as required for testing or delivery purposes.
- Full UK valid driving license is essential
- Towing experience required
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with customers.
Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
