Health & Safety Consultant

As a Health and Safety Consultant, you will work with our design-orientated clients and be responsible for some of the regions most prestigious commercial and residential projects.

In this role, you will be the Principal Designer and advisory on numerous developments and be key in monitoring design risk management.

Our clients are extremely bold with their projects, so it is very important that you are at the forefront of Health and Safety policies and strategies at design stage. Our Health and Safety Team are key to our design teams, and we value design experience as well as Health and Safety knowledge.

Joining our collaborative team in Leicester, you will work alongside our H&S team to ensure projects comply with Construction Design and Management Regulations.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
The core role will be delivering CDM and H&S advisory services across both internally and externally delivered projects, with significant opportunities for completing training and personal growth. Other duties will include:

- Ensuring projects comply with CDM 2015, making use of our policies and standard processes
- Assisting the client in discharging their duties and enacting positive H&S management
- Attending design team meetings, reviewing designs and design strategies
- Collating pre-construction information and producing summary information to share with the project team
- Engaging with and support the design team, lead in design risk management and workshops
- Attending construction sites to undertake meetings, complete inspections, identify risks and report to the client
- Engaging with the principal contractor to drive positive safety management
- Actively reviewing project and client information
- Providing written reports to the client and team

**Key Skills and Experience**:

- Practical experience in managing or providing dedicated CDM / H&S advisor services/role
- Comprehensive knowledge of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015
- Experience in either construction site safety or design (Architecture, Engineering, Surveying etc.)
- A commitment to delivering a high-quality client experience
- Proactive and balanced approach to H&S management
- Possess a positive attitude and good problem
- solving skills
- Teamworking skills

**Desirable Skills and Experience**:

- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or equivalent
- Professional qualification in a construction, engineering, building surveying or building services discipline
