Cafe Assistant/barista

**Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any queries they may have.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure all food items are stored correctly and adhere to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.

**Skills**
- Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations (training provided where needed).
- Experience in food preparation is advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided.
- A helpful attitude towards both customers and colleagues to foster a positive café environment.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 24 per week
