Bus Operations Controller

Due to continued expansion of our business, BM Coaches are looking to recruit a Bus Operations Controller for our Heathrow Depot.

**The Role**:

- To plan and manage effectively the day to day allocation of over 25 drivers to duties at our Heathrow base.
- To ensure all bus routes & contracts are run effectively & punctual.
- To cover work at the last minute ad hoc requests from our clients and stakeholders.
- Manage sickness & absence in accordance with our policies.
- Answer customer queries, complaints or commendations.
- Have a duty of care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues at all times, including a duty to report unsafe acts or omissions to safety
- To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role
- Must have thorough appreciation of the needs of our customers and external stakeholders, coupled with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective action plans.
- Previous expirience in a similar position within the transport industry.
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Skilled in strategic thinking and forward planning to avert problems before they occur and solve problems when they occur.
- Must be experienced in managing and motivating a teams of drivers to achieve high standards in operational performance.
- Proactive and able to prioritise effectively and manage a busy workload
- Ability to analyse and interpret information
- Able to plan and manage own workload to achieve deadlines.
- Strong IT skills.
- Must have a flexible approach, and be prepared to work outside normal hours to meet deadlines.
- **Must hold a current PCV Licence with up to date CPC or be willing to train to obtain this.**

**Salary**: £32,500.00 per year
