Role overview

The Team Leader will work across our various departments including, Grocery, Tills & Produce. The role will support the Duty Manager in leading the Team members to delivers great customer service, service by using your product knowledge to recommend customers relevant products, whilst explaining the benefits of them.

Our Team leaders and team members embody our core values ‘CREATE’ in everything they do. From, rotating stock, removing unsuitable items, replenishing, ensuring shelves are clean and well merchandised to putting transaction through the tills. The team leaders will inspire and motivate the team to deliver first class service whilst maintaining an ever-growing knowledge of our products.

Key Roles & responsibilities
- Service - Listen and recommend suitable products to customers
- Dealing with stock - ordering stock, rotating stock, filling shelves, making sure the shelves are well merchandised and clean.
- Put transactions through the Tills quickly and efficiently.
- Support your Duty Manager with completing departmental tasks as requested by them.
- This may occasionally involve working in areas outside of your normal duties e.g. helping in other departments.
- Take the time to learn about products in your area, what is in season and how to cook produce.
- Be able to describe the benefits of organic and natural products
- Greet and engage all customers who enter the department.
- Make recommendations about additional items to customers
- Make every customer experience fun, educational and rewarding
- Work and demostrates a sense of urgency to avoid customers having to wait.
- Follow high standards of Health & Safety
- Adhere to Planet Organic’s grooming standards.
- Follow till procedures.
- Carefully order stock to avoid wastage.
- You will train, allocate tasks and give feedback to the Produce and Tills Team Member or other members of staff who support Produce once you have finished your shift.


Essential
- Good mathematical skills
- Previous retail experience
- Flexible & collaborative
- Strong multitasking skills
- Able to undertake shift work across all days of the week and weekends
