We are a family run business that manages private parkland throughout the Cotswolds and south west

Our work is focused on the planting of new multi-strata woodland and a wide variety of new and pioneering regenerative landscape operations, from soil remediation, water courses, woodland management, mature tree transplanting and the design and implementation of tree nurseries for our clients.

We are now developing our own tree nursery, am organic, regenerative tree nursery with soil biodiversity at its heart. Growing trees from ancient, endangered UK trees plus trees for climate adaptivity, food and medicine. The nursery is based 3 miles from Bath in a stunning valley alongside the cotswold way.

You will be joining us at an exciting time, as attitudes change to a more sustainable approach to tree growing, and as demand for UK provenance stock is at its greatest. As we try to achieve government net zero tree planting targets. mimicking natural regeneration for biodiversity gain and climate adaptation. Tree Source are actively responding to this demand by developing our own nursery, mimicking natural regeneration and avoiding the need for plastics of chemical inputs. Part grant funded by the forestry commission and working alongside the soil association we are looking for someone to support us on this exciting and innovative journey to grow low input, resilient UK provenace trees for the organic market.

- **These tasks will include**:_
- tree planting from whips to semi mature stock
- transplanting by hand and using tree spades
- Planting aftercare
- timber construction and fencing works
- Meadow/Grassland management
- Pond and lake creation and aftercare
- Ecological surveying

- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Good communication skills with clients and staff and understanding of confidentiality
- Willingness to work flexibly in accordance with the needs of the Company
- Be punctual and presentable
- **Desirable**_
- Experience working with agricultural machinery
- Wood working skills, basic timber framing
- Fencing experience
- Chainsaw qualification - CS30/31
- Level 2 RHS Horticultural/ Arboricultural qualifications or similar relevant qualification in Horticulture, Landscaping or Arboriculture
- Land management experience

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
