This is an excellent opportunity for a Part Qualified or Qualified Analyst, to gain responsibilities in a range of Financial and Business Partnering driven activities, become commercially focused and be a key player within the Finance activities of the globalorganization.
**The Financial Analyst, will be responsible for**:
- Preparation of monthly financial forecasts and variance analysis.
- Build strong working relationships with the team and budget owners as required.
- Collaborate with the wider finance function in the pre-close review to ensure the accuracy of reporting through information sharing.
- Preparation of monthly reporting packages with insightful commentary and analysis.
- Support and own aspects of the preparation of the annual budget for GBS functions.
- Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which centres on our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.
- Demonstrate an ability to develop and implement ideas that improve efficiencies both in finance and operationally.
- Analysing and interpreting sizeable/complex data sets.
- Ad-hoc analysis as required.
**To be considered for the Financial Analyst role**:
- 1-2 years PQE ACA/CIMA/ACCA or Part Qualified, with good experience in analysis and insights of financial data and trends.
- Good systems experience (Oracle, Hyperion would be beneficial).
- Analytically minded with inquisitive nature, seeks out problem solving opportunities.
- Prior relevant experience in financial analysis is preferred, but not required.
- Strong, effective interpersonal skills (verbal and written) to communicate with colleagues and cross-cultural teams.
- Eagerness to learn and develop as an ICON employee and member of the Clinical Research Industry.
- Good working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel and Power Point.
