Due to an expanding order book we are looking for a number of production operators with electronic experience for permanent roles, working Monday to Wednesday 7:00 to 17:00 and Thursday 7:00 to 16:30 (Friday is not a normal work day)

Reporting directly to the Production manager, this role is to solder, assemble and test units to meet production department’s needs, achieving all quality standards and production targets.

**Qualifications and experience**

Desirable
- IPC qualification
- Minimum 2 years knowledge and experience gained in a similar role

Acceptable
- Minimum 2 years knowledge and experience gained in a manufacturing role
- IPC understanding and awareness

**Core skills and experience required**
- Excellent attention to detail with good organisation is essential
- Soldering experience is an advantage
- Experience of electronic testing is advantageous
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Capable of working independently to a production schedule
- Basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Google suite
- High degree of manual dexterity is required
- Knowledge of ISO standards advantageous but not essential

However training will be provided

**Duties & Responsibilities (may include, but not limited to)**:

- To assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products and systems
- To carry out hand soldering
- To populate PCBs with relevant discrete components and SMD components
- To interpret and follow computer based work orders, build instructions and production samples
- Assist in development of build instructions and product samples of new product
- To use hand tools, power tools, machines and equipment safely and correctly
- To perform testing and inspection to ensure assemblies meet customer requests, quality standards and IPC requirements
- Adhere to 5S standards within the business
- Report any problems to the Production Manager promptly
- To adhere to the Company’s IMS standards, policies and procedures for Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental guidelines
- To keep working area tidy and free from hazards and report potential dangers promptly
- Undertake any internal or external training as required
- Carry out such other duties as may be required within general scope of the job

Pay: Up to £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
