We are currently working with a Special Needs school in South East London who have an opportunity for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their school ASAP.

**The Role**

In this role you will be working in a class of 5 primary age pupils, all who have complex needs and ASD.

Pupils in the class can display challenging behaviour and can sometime require support to calm situations and may need restraining. There are 5 adults in the class who provide 1 to 1 support to pupils on a rota. You will be working with every child in theclass at different points in the week. The pupils will require personal care, support with eating and daily tasks as well as support in lessons. You will be using a variety of teaching and communication methods including PECS, Attention Autism,

The school are looking for a teaching assistant who is very confident and open to provide care and support to young children with this level of complex needs.

This small, welcoming Special Needs school is based in South East London and specializes in the teaching of children on the autistic spectrum. They offer a curriculum which includes various therapies including music and animal therapy. They have a hydrotherapypool and a range of specially designed facilities to support pupils.
