**Experienced Pharmacy Dispenser - Portmans Pharmacy, Barbican, London**

Permanent Position

Days to work:
Monday - Friday Hours: 9am - 6.30pm

Occasional Saturday's: 9am - 5pm

You will be playing an essential part in the pharmacy, responsible for the final check/release of medicinal products prior to packing and dispatch to patients. This is an exciting and vital role within the pharmacy team.

**Day to day duties will include**:
To provide professional input in the dispensing unit, in accordance with the GPhC code of ethics.
To resolve pharmaceutical issues that may arise within the pharmacy

About you

As you will be responsible for the final check/release of dispensed medication, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is expected. MUST have experience in using ProScript Connect.

You will be expected to partake in the following:

- The promotion of pharmacy advice
- Support the work of Pharmacy Assistants & Technicians.
- Dispensing prescriptions
- Work within the team to facilitate self and colleagues’ professional development..
- Assist with the recording and reporting of adverse drug reactions.
- Act as a mentor for new staff within the dispensing unit as required
- To partake in the collation and analysis of errors across within DU
- To carry out audits as required by the senior pharmacy team
- Resolve delivery discrepancies and complete resolution logs as required
- To ensure that all documentation is correctly filed.
- Picking up prescriptions from local surgeries
- **Attend compulsory training sessions eg**: pharmacovigilance and therapy training
- To demonstrate continuing fitness to practice through local arrangements: this can be supported by evidence from appraisals and CPD.
- Undertake statutory pharmacy duties and responsibilities.

**Qualifications, Training & Experience**:
Dispensary Assistant Qualification
Dispensing experience either in high volume retail or private pharmacy.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.50 per hour

- Monday to Friday

- Pharmacy: 5 years (preferred)
- Pharmacy Dispensing: 4 years (required)
