POSITION: Paediatric Osteopath

**REPORTS TO: Consultant-In-Charge**

**LOCATIONS**:Warren Street,** **Shoreditch or Southfields**

**DAYS OF WEEK: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday**

**PAY: £140.00 per day**

**SUMMARY OF ROLE**

To be part of the OCC’s clinical team, sharing team responsibilities as well as having individual ones. This role provides an opportunity for comprehensive development as a paediatric osteopath.

To share responsibility for the safe and professional running of the OCC’s clinic. The standard of care and professionalism will be at least to the standard expected by the GOsC and in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Take responsibility for a list of patients, including those who may need emergency care, or ongoing treatment.
- Deal with telephone enquiries to the OCC which require osteopathic input and liaising with Reception generally.
- Complete patient records on the OCC’s case forms on the day of treatment.
- Prepare letters and reports regarding patients, as approved by the Consultant-in
- Charge.
- Liaise with other staff to ensure the treatment area is safe and tidy.
- Inform the Consultant-in-Charge immediately where there is perceived misconduct by any practitioner or where evidence of child abuse is suspected.
- Be familiar with and adhere to any relevant OCC policies and procedures
- for example Health and Safety, Data Protection, Child Protection and Equal Opportunities etc.
- Support the Clinical Tutors and Consultant-in-Charge and to carry out such other tasks and duties as may be required from time to time by the Consultant-in-Charge.

**Knowledge, skills & experience**
- The OCC’s MSc/ Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy
- Experience in paediatric osteopathy
- Proven ability to work in a team
