Full or part-time, Dementia Friend & Companion job vacancy, Reading, Berkshire - no experience needed - **car drivers essential.**

**Key Information**:

- Weekdays £12.50 per hour + 45p mileage.
- Weekends £13.50 per hour + 45p mileage.
- Enhanced pay on bank holidays.
- Hours range between 06.45 - 22.30.

**Could you care?** We support older adults living in their own homes with a wide variety of needs. Your role will be to support each one to retain their independence and live life on their own terms in the place they cherish the most, for as long as possible. Each person hasindividual characteristics and requirements, and we will guide and mentor you through a rigorous induction period until you feel confident and competent to work independently. The role could include:

- Quality time providing companionship & helping to prevent loneliness.
- Assisting with personal care - it’s not always what you think it is.
- Helping with domestic duties & meal preparation.
- Helping with medication - this could just be a reminder in some cases.
- Taking clients to appointments or for some fresh air and exercise.
- Keeping clients doing the activities that they love both at home & in the community.

The most important quality for this job is that you have a caring disposition and a positive personality.
