Full Job Description Motor Claims Handler
£25,000 - £28,000 (Dependent on experience) + Bonus Full-time, Permanent Office Based London We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Insurance Motor Claims Handler to join a leading and progressive Insurance Broker / Claim ManagementCompany based in London E11.
This role is working within a motor claims team to the business, working with a great team within a busy and dynamic department. You will require an excellent understanding of motor insurance claims, combined with exceptional client care skills gained fromworking within the insurance claims sector, insurance company, or have an insurance broking background. As the Lead Claims Handler within the Credit Hire Team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of claims from first notification of loss throughto settlement, whilst also assisting the client to achieve the best possible outcome for the claim. Possessing exceptional negotiating skills to determine liability, arranging hire, manage vehicle repairs, refer on any injuries sustained and general progressionof case files. An excellent communicator both verbal and written with a natural talent in customer care and passionate about providing a great customer experience.
The Role and Responsibilities
managing a personal portfolio of clients, You will also maintain close working cooperation with the transport and client care team.
- Assist clients with the completion of their insurance claim, from initial client contact through to final settlement;
- Obtain and accurately record all relevant information, whether presented or requested in an efficient way;
- Determine the right course of action to facilitate accurate claims settlement;
- Liaise with repairing garages/suppliers, assist the policyholder in sourcing a quality and timely repair, while keeping costs to a minimum;
- Keep the policyholder fully informed of progress until completion of their claim;

- Exceptional telephone and written negotiation skills. - Ability to recognise when sensitivity and tact are required.
- Ability to make positive decisions.
- Excellent understanding of Case File Management Systems. Proclaim preferred.
- Commercial Awareness.
- Previous experience working within Motor Claims environment is essential.
Working Hours & Benefits.
This is an office based full-time position, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5.00pm within a professional, friendly & supportive environment. We offer a competitive starting salary from £25,000 - £28,000 depending upon proven ability andprevious experience. In addition to the basic salary, we offer a generous bonus structure where a total earnings potential of up to £32,000 can realistically be achieved.
