**Company Description**

Part of the Culina Group, Great Bear is a key player in ambient 3PL, and through an extensive depot network including unique state of the art facilities at Port Salford and Markham Vale Great Bear serves established FMCG businesses.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Shift Manager will plan, organise, direct and control teams of First Line Managers to deliver budgeted customer and business objectives. As the Shift Manager, it will be your responsibility to oversee multi-customercontracts and the running of the daily operation.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Team management; leadership, performance reviews, development, succession planning
- Budget management, including preparation of and ensuring delivery of KPI’s
- Organise and lead the focus on improved productivity levels, including WMS efficiencies
- Ensure sustained operational stability; plan, manage and adjust resource levels to meet operational requirements
- Facilitate effective communication throughout and ensure company policies are applied and enforced
- Assisting with HR management and grievance issues in line with HR policy
- Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures, including stock control and accuracy
- Build effective relationships with internal and external colleagues across all levels

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience of team management, ideally within an FMCG environment
- Good analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Excellent organisational skills
- Computer literate with knowledge of WMS
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
- Ability to present to Senior Management and client levels
