A well-established manufacturing organisation has a requirement for commercially focused HR Director to join at a pivotal time for the business.
Reporting to the Managing Director and working as part of the Senior Leadership Team within the business you will be paramount to the current and future success of this dynamic, growing organisation.
Working closely with the Board of Directors in order to understand the current needs and future ambition of the business - and acting as true Business Partner to stakeholders - the HRD is required to drive forward changes both within the HR function and acrossthe wider business.
The appointment of this role is key and marks a significant shift; the need and the desire of the business is to transform the HR function by introducing a forward-thinking, proactive, commercially astute HR practitioner that can shoulder the transformationand internal rebranding of HR whilst understanding that everything comes back to its employees; that the employees are central to the success of the business.
To be considered for this role you have:

- Experience of having a generalist service - both operationally and strategically - within a fast paced environment;
- Delivered a range HR project work;
- Experience in leading an employee development program which promotes functional excellence;
- Lead, managed and developed a team of HR professionals;
- Clear evidence of the positive commercial impact they will have made through the introduction of strategic and operational initiatives within an SME;
- In depth understanding of HR policies and processes (and development and implementation of these);
- Experience of influencing at all levels and presenting at board-level;
- In depth knowledge of Employment Law;
- Experience of project and change management;
- The ability to drive continuous improvement;
- The ability to develop the culture of the business whilst ensuring it does not lose its identity, and staying true to its values.
- Extensive experience of having worked within a manufacturing/engineering organisation.
