Transport Planner/ Route Planner

**As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for**
- Working within a busy transport office
- Route and load planning
- Client liaison
- ensuring that the customer’s request is met, and updates should any issues arise
- Driver liaison
- liaising regularly with the drivers to ensure the movement of trailers to and from the docks to meet the time restraints of the Ferries.
- Administrative tasks
- Tracking company trailers around the UK and Channel Island’s
- Dealing with other members of the transport team and various warehouse supervisors
- Will have worked within Transport planning/ Routing previously
- 1 year and above
- Will have excellent communications skills
- Good geographical knowledge
- Will be very organised
- Will have good administration skills and experience
- Will be flexible and adaptable to change
- CPC holder beneficial but not essential. (Wage increase with qualification)

**Hours of work**: You will be required to work a shift pattern (on a two-week rota)

1st shift 0500 - 1300 Monday to Friday.

2nd shift 11 - 1700 Monday to Friday plus every second weekend Saturday approx. 0500 - 1000 Sunday 0600 - 1000.

**Salary**: Up to £33,000.00 per year
