**Female Support Worker 15-30hrs £13.00-£13.50ph Worthing** **About Me**: I am looking for someone who will share a passion for adventuring outdoors with my assistance dog, socialising (going for coffee and vegan food) and being an active member of the community. I am a wheelchair user and due to the nature of my conditions, my needs can fluctuate on a daily basis. I have an AMAZING assistance dog to help with many tasks (and a cat who is friendly but not quite so helpful), so you must be comfortable around animals. Obviously, you'll need to have a caring personality as well as a strong work ethic, and be able to keep a level head in stressful situations. Additionally, you need to be adaptable in the role and responsive to my needs; I am looking for someone who has a person-centred approach". **The Support Required**: Support Worker is needed for a fun, outgoing, physically disabled lady and her assistance dog in Worthing. The position available is to join our friendly team of carers to support her in her daily life and help her pursue her varied interests and academic research. We are looking for someone to do 15-30hrs a week as well as 1-2 days on call per week. As part of the Support Team, you also cover each other's holidays and sick cover, helping each other out. **About the Pay**: - Mon-Fri 07.00-22.00 £13.00ph - Sat-Sun 07.00-22.00 £13.50ph - On Call paid at £40 per day (07.00-22.00) plus hourly rate if called out. **About the Training**: - Administration of medication and regular stock-taking - Accompanying and assistance daily life and tasks - Cooking simple vegan food - Pet care - Driving to and attending appointments - General housework and light gardening - Occasional assistance with personal care and all sorts of other things Full client specific training will be given, including ongoing professional development and support. **About You**: You will need to be comfortable with pets, have a caring disposition & genuine enthusiasm, a can-do attitude & ability to take the initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will need to have a clean, full UK manual driving licence 25 years+ preferable. *An enhanced disclosure is required (expense to be met by employer). *Post exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1-There is a genuine occupational requirement to recruit female support workers. - Drivers essential/full clean driving licence required **About HomeCare Direct**: Home Care Direct are industry-leading specialists in personalisation.
