An area supervisor with BFT works a standard 40 hour week, with potential for overtime paid at premium rates.

BFT Mastclimbing is looking to appoint an **Area Supervisor in the Northern Region** to join their expanding team and be responsible for providing a competent, and professional service to our customers by running projects in accordance with the agreed contract terms, within budget, while providing excellent customer service. They will lead and direct MCWP Installation Teams to ensure that planned and reactive MCWP installing works are undertaken efficiently. They must ensure that the commitments detailed within the Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Policy Statements are met.

They will be self-disciplined, reliable, ethical and able to work under pressure. They should enjoy problem solving and understand the importance of good time management. They must have good numeracy skills and a Grade C or above in English and Maths would be a bonus. IPAF Advanced installer and CSCS are required. SSSTS as a minimum and SMSTS advantageous, training can be provided if required.

**Duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Supervise and control contracts ensuring these are carried out within the required budget and timescale, and all works are completed prior to hand-over.
- Oversee day-to-day activities of Installation staff, build good relationships with them and work with them to ensure the project is completed to the highest standards in the most efficient way
- Encourage Installers to take care of all components/stock including mast bolts, deck pins, scaffold fittings etc. and ensure these are returned to the yard once no longer needed on site (even if damaged)
- Build relationships with the Client’s representative and work with them to determine planned work schedules and unplanned work to ensure that the Client asset is maintained to specified standards set by the Client
- Ensure that all required documentation is correctly processed via the tablet provided including ensuring contracts are properly reported to allow accurate billing
- Supply installation sequence and manage / control costs on site
- Carry out site surveys for groundworks, craneage and access
- Liaise with Sales / Estimating team for pre-start meetings, operational handover and any specific health and safety requirements for new jobs
- Review and lead implementation of legislation and contract standards
- Reinforce safe working practices in all areas and be an ardent champion of safety in line with both the Company and legal requirements
- Investigate and report on incidents and implement loss prevention measures
- Safeguard BFT equipment and materials to minimize any losses
- Liaise with relevant departments within BFT to ensure consistency and relevance of toolbox talks, site surveys, risks assessments, method statements and other items
- Make sure all installer timesheets are sent to the relevant department by the deadline set

**Salary**: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
