Finance Assistant

£11.50-£12ph PAYE

Temp to Perm - Luton

Randstad are currently working in collaboration with a rapidly expanding medical trading business near Luton. This busy, successful and expanding international business are seeking an accounts focused, organised and autonomous Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis to support the smooth running of a busy department.

Key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant includes:

- Processing of all purchase invoices on Sage 50
- Reconcile invoices against purchase orders and resolve queries with relevant buyer/supplier
- Weekly bank payment run and ad-hoc payments
- Supplier / client reconciliations
- Bank reconciliation covering all postings
- Assist with credit control
- Assist with stock records
- Maintenance of supplier and customer accounts on Sage (credit terms/credit insurance)
- Assist with reconciliation of invoice discounting account with bank
- EU VAT return processing - work with Management Accountant on returns
- Sales invoicing
- Any other duties as required

Key skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Accuracy and an eye for detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excel - Intermediate
- Experience of working in a high performing finance team
- Sage 50 experience
