Warehouse Operative

This is an opportunity to join a leading Automotive Products E-Commerce company. They are an independent, privately owned business with a multi-million pound turnover and over 10 full time employees. They are looking to recruit warehouse operatives with driving experience to join their busy team working at their locations in West Cumbria.

You will have previous experience of working in a busy warehouse environment and be a confident and experienced van driver and have forklift truck experience.

The right person for this job is someone who can work under pressure to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of picking accuracy. They will also be adaptable and flexible in order to meet changing demands on a daily basis. This position would suit someone who has the ability and drive to progress in to a supervisory role.

This is a manual handling role so you will need to be physically fit and prepared to work both in an outside yard as well as an indoor environment.

**Your duties will include**:

- Loading and Unloading of Delivery vehicles
- Loading and Unloading of Containers
- Marshalling of delivery vehicles in a yard environment
- Picking and packing orders
- Van driving duties including towing a trailer
- Stock taking and stock rotation
- Keeping the warehouse/yard clean, tidy and safe
- Maintaining equipment

- Good numeracy and ability to accurately read and decipher stock codes
- Ability to achieve a high work rate to a consistently high standard
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to respond to rapidly changing situations
- Ability to remember product details and stock locations
- IT literate with experience of using computer warehouse systems
- Ability to work to high Health & Safety standards
- Full UK manual car driving licence and experience of driving large vans (3500kg). Trailer towing experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Current or expired counterbalance forklift truck licence required.

**Essential Requirements**:
Valid full UK manual car driving licence

A current or expired UK Counterbalance Forklift Truck driving license

Own transport

Non Smoker

**Salary**: £11.73 per hour
