**JOB DESCRIPTION**: Operations Manager - Adhesives / Chemical Manufacturing
As the UK Operations Manager your key responsibility is to ensure the seamless receivership and delivery of products to customers. Reporting directly to the UK General Manager you will make up part of the senior management team and act as a sounding board onall key issues.
In addition to this you will also:
- Lead continuous improvements in the resources required and ensure processes are in place in Safety, Quality, Environment, reliability, and efficiency on the site
- Oversee the day-to-day activities and notify the GM or other Managers of any issues that arise
- Manage a team of 2 direct reports (Production Manager and Maintenance Engineer) & 11 indirect reports
- Working closely with the technical and commercial team, lead and manage the introduction of new products into the manufacturing plant
- Be an active and collaborative member of the senior management team

Ultimately, you will have already been a successful Operations Manager, someone who above the normal requirements, enjoys playing an active role in the business. Someone who is driven by their love for developing the people who report to them and uses datato influence and aid decisions. You will be enthused by variation and wearing many operational hats.
It is likely you will have previously managed a manufacturing site with a t/o of circa £5-£10m, worked with a variety of outsourced providers (3PL) and managed a broad supply chain.
